Arsenal were questioned when they completed the £24million signing of Aaron Ramsdale from Sheffield United. The England international swiftly replaced Bernd Leno as the Gunners' No.1 goalkeeper and his performances last season were a huge reason why they were able to push Manchester City so close to the Premier League title.
Ramsdale kept 14 clean sheets in the Premier League last term - conceding just 43 goals in the 38 games. The 25-year-old's brilliant displays in the 2022/23 campaign saw him be rewarded with a new contract as the goalkeeper extended his stay at the Emirates Stadium until 2026.
Ramsdale has quickly become one of the north Londoners' most important players, with his ball-playing ability a key factor to his side's large improvements in the build-up phase over the last two seasons. Given his age and ability, there is no reason to doubt that the England international can establish himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League moving forward - matching the likes of Liverpool's Alisson and Manchester City shot-stopper Ederson.
