With just hours to go Arsenal are still yet to sign any first-team players in the January transfer window.
The Gunners have been constantly linked with a move for a clinical centre-forward, with the likes of Alexander Isak, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jonathan David all named as potential targets to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and out of contract frontmen Eddie Nketiah and Alexander Lacazette.
Similarly, Arthur Melo and Doulas Luiz have been mooted as possible signings for central midfield but as the deadline nears it currently seems unlikely that the club will have any new players to add to Mikel Arteta's squad.
With that being said, football.london's Arsenal writer Tashan Deniran-Alleyne gave his thoughts on some of the big talking points at the north London club right now during a Q&A with fans on Monday.
Why are Arsenal not targeting Ousmane Dembele?
Tashan Deniran-Alleyne said: "The Ousmane Dembele situation is an interesting one as there was interest in him a couple of summers ago, but nothing has been followed up since.
"I think in terms of plans for this month, signing a winger hasn't been a priority for Arsenal as they are well stocked in this area with Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel Martinelli.
"Also, Dembele's unfortunate injury record could be a reason why Arsenal haven't made a move for him."
Is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joining Barcelona?
Tashan Deniran-Alleyne said: "It has been reported that Barcelona can sign Aubameyang regardless of what happens with Dembele.
"This is because Aubameyang has apparently agreed to play for Barcelona for 'practically nothing’ due to their salary cap issues.
"So as things, stand there's nothing standing in the way of his move to the Camp Nou."
