Manchester City are reportedly prepared to sell Gabriel Jesus for £40million this summer. The Brazilian forward has one year remaining on his contract and has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta previously worked with the 25-year-old when he was an assistant coach at City and is believed to be a big admirer. The north Londoners will be in the market for a striker this summer with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah both seemingly on their way out of the club; with their contracts set to expire in June.
Arsenal have reportedly identified Jesus as their primary target after a fine season in which he’s re-established himself in Pep Guardiola’s starting line-up. The Brazil international has scored 13 goals and notched a further 12 assists and has played an important role in City’s quest to end their campaign with the Premier League and Champions League double.
