Arsenal will discover their opponents in the Europa League group phase when the draw is made on Friday afternoon and there is one more Premier League fixture that will be affected by the outcome.
Due to the World Cup taking place in the winter months instead of the summer, the group stages in all of European football's club competitions will be completed in eight weeks instead of the usual 12 and matchday one in the Europa League is slated for September 8, 2022.
As a result, Arsenal's home game with Everton has already been pushed back 24 hours to take place on Sunday, September 11 and there are four further fixtures that have followed suit to accommodate Mikel Arteta's side being in action on Thursday nights before the Premier League pauses for the World Cup.
