Thomas Tuchel has confirmed his plans to reach out to Ben White when he takes the England job next month.
The German will take charge of the Three Lions on an 18-month contract running from the start of January with a view to compete for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Arsenal defender White has not played for England since leaving their camp during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar due to personal reasons.
The right-back reportedly fell out with former assistant coach Steve Holland, while Tuchel’s predecessor in Gareth Southgate confirmed the 27-year-old had asked not to be considered for international duty.
Tuchel, however, has revealed he plans to speak to the former Brighton youngster about the idea of coming back into the fold ahead of the qualifying period for the World Cup.
England have been drawn against Serbia, Albania, Latvia and Andorra, with the campaign starting in March 2025.
Speaking at the draw held in Zurich, Tuchel said: “Yes I will reach out to him.
“It should be a clean start and a clear narrative. It starts from January.
“I will be in the stadiums from January. I will also not distract the players and they should just know: “Okay, the boss is there from January.”
