It can often take a while for supporters of a football club to create a popular song or chant for a player. Although, this shouldn't be the case for Fabio Vieira once his move to Arsenal is completed.
In a summer transfer that seemingly came out of nowhere, it was reported on Thursday afternoon that the Gunners were closing in on the signing of the Porto midfielder after agreeing to pay €40m (£34m) - a fee lower than his release clause - for the 22-year-old's services.
All that remains is for Vieira to complete all the formalities for the move including undergoing a medical at the club's training base in London Colney and to sign his five-year contract to officially become Arsenal's second confirmed transfer of the summer so far following a deal for Marquinhos that was announced at the beginning of the week.

Then it will be a case of the midfielder being unveiled, having his shirt number confirmed before he joins up with his new teammates for pre-season training where he'll likely be included in the squad that travels to Germany for the first of two overseas tours this summer.
And it's during some of the pre-season fixtures where Gunners supporters can debut the perfect song for Vieira thanks to the fact that the midfielder shares the same surname as a club legend and former captain whose chant can often be heard at the Emirates Stadium and during away games to this very day.

Of course, for Fabio Vieira, the lyrics would have to slightly change as he's from Portugal and therefore the song would be: 'Vieira woah, Vieira woah.

Given Arsenal fans have created some brilliant songs for the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Benjamin White over the past 12 months, it shouldn't take too long to come up with one for Fabio Vieira once his transfer is completed especially as the perfect one already exists.
