Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has shared the latest update on his recovery from knee surgery after suffering an injury to his medial collateral ligament at the World Cup. Arsenal confirmed Jesus underwent successful surgery last Tuesday (December 6) with the 25-year-old set to be out until February at the earliest.
With Richarlison ahead of Jesus in the pecking order in the Brazil squad, the Gunners forward had to settle for cameos from the bench in the opening two group stage matches before being named in the starting XI for the clash against Cameroon with Tite's side already into the knockout stages.
However, mid-way through the second half Jesus was substituted because of a suspected injury which was later confirmed to need surgery in order to fix.

Jesus himself recently commented on his injury posting to Instagram: "Hora de ir para casa" (Time to go home) with a picture of him smiling with his crutches in hospital.
Oleksandr Zinchenko has been one of many Arsenal players to offer his support, with the Ukrainian also out with a minor injury, although Arsenal are confident that the Ukrainian should be fit in time for their return to Premier League football against West Ham on Boxing Day, football.london understands.
While it is set to be a long road to recovery, Jesus has posted a positive update on his Instagram story, saying "the first week is gone". The caption is placed over the top of an image showing Jesus' right knee in a hefty brace.
