Arsenal starlet Folarin Balogun has a potential career of stardom ahead of him after a breakout loan spell with Reims in Ligue 1 this season. The youngster has scored 18 goals this season and sits as the league's third-highest scorer, outlining a successful move for the striker.
However, he is approaching a crossroads in his career across both at club level and on the international stage as a man in demand. While it remains to be seen where he will play his football in the future, Balogun has since discussed his thought process before the end of the season.
"Contractually I have to go back," he told the official Ligue 1 website. "Because the loan was only for one year so that was always the agreement. But I wouldn't, um, I'm not sure what is going to happen in the future.

"A lot could happen in football, a lot could change, and it just depends on the conversations we have between me and the club in the summer, and we'll see what happens."
A report from 90Min claims that Balogun is set for crunch talks over his future at the club, with the desire to play first-team football. His current deal expires in 2025 and the youngster is looking to continue his spell that he has had over his previous loan spells in his development.
Meanwhile, on the international stage, the Daily Mail reports that the USMNT are making a push to land the striker to become the "poster boy" for their squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup. The report adds that the forward has three serious options with a decision on his future yet to be made: between the US, Nigeria and England, who he has regularly featured for at youth level.
It remains to be seen what will come for Balogun in the coming months as he reaches a time for huge decisions in both paths of his career.
