Arsenal star Folarin Balogun confirms transfer with seven-word message as Chelsea deal completed

Christian Pulisic is moving closer to completing his move to AC Milan from Chelsea.

The USMNT star arrived in Italy to complete his medical on Wednesday before being announced as Milan's newest signing. Pulisic will be the second Chelsea player to join Stefano Pioli's squad after Ruben Loftus-Cheek's £18million ($23.1million) move last month.

A fee of £18.9million ($24.2million) has been finalised between the two clubs after weeks of negotiations. Milan have fended off competition from Lyon and Juventus to sign Pulisic, with the 24-year-old ending his four-year stay at Stamford Bridge with one year left on his contract.

After Loftus-Cheek confirmed that Pulisic would be joining him at the San Siro, Milan posted a message from the United States international on their social media. Upon his arrival in Italy, Pulisic said: "Hi AC Milan supporters, it's Christian Pulisic. I've just arrived in Milan, I'm so excited to be here and I can't wait to get started."

Pulisic's transfer saga has dominated the headlines in the past 12 months, with the whereabouts of his future unknown for some time. He will now sign a four-year deal in Italy and have the chance to re-establish himself after a difficult few years in the Premier League.

Following AC Milan's post of Pulisic, Arsenal striker and USMNT star Folarin Balogun has sent his wishes to his international teammate on Instagram. Reposting the video, the 22-year-old wrote: "Good luck at your new club brother! @cmpulisic."

Balogun, like Pulisic, has faced uncertainty surrounding his future having impressed with Stade Reims last season. The Gunners forward scored 22 goals in all competitions while out in France, attracting plenty of interest from Europe.

AC Milan have been one name constantly linked with a move with the striker. Arsenal have slapped a £50million ($64.5million) price tag on the Hale Ender after learning of his preference not to leave on loan again.
