Arsenal signing's amazing record is proving that Mikel Arteta has completed his Pep Guardiola plan

Arsenal’s impressive 1-0 victory over Wolves on Thursday evening highlighted that Aaron Ramsdale is ready to be amongst the elite.

The Englishman was excellent between the sticks for the Gunners yesterday and played an essential part in ensuring a clean sheet that has propelled Arsenal in the top four race.

The pressure had reached the maximum once Gabriel Martinelli was sent off, but Ramsdale reacted to the bombardment on his goal, with composure and assertiveness which highlights how good of a goalkeeper he is.

The 23-year-old has now kept 11 clean sheets in the Premier League this season, which is the second-highest alongside Alisson Becker and Ederson from Manchester City.

Ederson is currently leading the goalkeepers with 13 clean sheets, while Ramsdale and Alisson both sit on 11.

Fourth place, Hugo Lloris is far away from the top three goalkeepers, as he has currently prevented from conceding on eight occasions this season.

The fact that Ramsdale is in the same bracket as the best goalkeepers in world football is a testament to his excellent ability, and Edu also has to take credit for taking the risk in signing him.

Fans were skeptical about the £30 million price tag for him after playing his part in back-to-back relegations from the Premier League , but now supporters are starting to eat their words.

Ramsdale hasn’t put a foot wrong since making his Arsenal debut and is a major reason why the club is starting to see a transformation at the moment.

At the start of the season, the Gunners had lost their opening three Premier League games and had conceded nine goals in the process, with Bernd Leno starting all three.

However, Ramsdale took the German’s place and the Gunners have looked much more solid ever since, as the club push for a spot in the top four League ahead of next season.

If Arsenal finishes in a Champions League qualification position, then it will be thanks to the heroics of Ramsdale, and his ability to compete amongst the goalkeepers in the league, which was not expected of him when he first joined the club in the summer transfer window.
