Arsenal are no longer at the top of the Premier League.
Manchester City's 2-1 victory over Fulham on Sunday afternoon meant that Pep Guardiola's side climbed above their title rivals for the first time since February. The Gunners have been in torrid form recently, picking up just three points from a possible 12 over their last four league fixtures, a run of games that saw the Citizens defeat them 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.
Despite having played one less league match this season, the reigning champions now sit one point ahead of the north London outfit, who had led the league for the majority of the season. As the full-time whistle was blown at the end of City's win away to Fulham, the travelling supporters took a moment to send a clear message to Arsenal by chanting: "We are top of the league."

Of course, Arsenal can go back to the summit of the table if they are able to beat London rivals Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night before City welcome West Ham United to Manchester one day later. Speaking after his side's aforementioned loss to the Citizens earlier this week, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta refused to concede that his side were not still in with a chance of ending their 19-year wait for a title victory.
"The stats at the start of the season said we’d finish sixth or seventh and we are where we are with five games to go," Arteta said in his post-match press conference. "Those players deserve a lot of credit to go nine and a half months against this team doing what they have done.
"There’s still five games to go. Five. I’ve been in this country almost 22 years and I’ve seen a lot of things and I know how much it shifts from game to game. There are not easy games in this league. Let’s see.
"We have to lift our players tonight. We played against an exceptional team, we know that, but we are an exceptional team as well. Today we didn’t do the basics and understand what we needed to win the game."
