Arsenal's sub-£100m Declan Rice approach explained as Edu wary of Mykhailo Mudryk repeat

Arsenal are expected to push ahead with their plan to try and sign Declan Rice in the wake of the UEFA Europa Conference League final victory for West Ham United. football.london understands that a bid north of £90million is due for the England international.

Rice has been the priority target for the cub this summer and Arsenal hope to wrap up a deal quickly amid interest from Manchester United and Bayern Munich. The Gunners have been patient as to respect the Hammers’ cup final preparations knowing the east London side would have strongly disliked any distractions ahead of the clash with Fiorentina.

The price for Rice has always flirted with the triple-million-pound levels but Arsenal are hopeful to secure the deal for below the infamous 100 number. football.london understands this is more than just for financial reasons and their own valuation of the player, but are keen to lower the pressure and expectation on Rice who was always going to become the club’s record signing if a deal was to be successful.
