Arsenal's Moises Caicedo transfer hope, Youri Tielemans blow, Marquinhos exit

It looks set to be a busy final few days of the transfer window at the Emirates. Going into deadline day it is no secret that Arsenal want to add a midfielder to their ranks after an injury to Mohamed Elneny has left them short.

The name being most heavily linked at the minute is Brighton's Moises Caicdeo. The player is keen to make the move happen, but the Gunners have been strongly rebuffed in their two bids so far by Brighton who do not want to sell. Still though they remain hopeful a deal could be done.

Alternatives of course are being explored, with Martin Zubimendi, Youri Tielemans and Ibrahima Bamba among those linked. In terms of exits Marquinhos is heading to Norwich and Cedric Soares' loan to Fulham will hinge on whether the Cottagers can ensure a permanent deal for Shane Duffy before the window closes at 11pm on Tuesday. With all that going on it feels like the perfect time for a Q and A with our chief Arsenal correspondent Kaya Kaynak.
