Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Arsenal look set to attempt to sign Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus this summer. The Gunners have long been on the lookout for a forward, with a move for the Brazilian potentially having huge impacts on the Blues’ own search for attacking options.
According to The Athletic, the Gunners are exploring the option of signing Jesus this summer, with Mikel Arteta keen to add to his attacking options amid the expected departures of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah. Whilst the move does not directly involve Chelsea in any sense, a confirmed move could potentially have a huge impact on the Blues’ summer business.
With Jesus potentially on the way to the Emirates Stadium, that would leave the current Premier League champions without a recognised striker in their squad. That might not be the case for too long, with Pep Guardiola’s men having been strongly linked with a switch for Borussia Dortmund sensation and reported Chelsea target Erling Haaland.
