Arsenal have enjoyed a near-perfect first half of the 2022/23 season.
The north Londoners currently sit on top of the Premier League standings, five points clear of second-placed Manchester City despite playing one less league match than Pep Guardiola's side. It is the Gunners' best ever start to a domestic season and Mikel Arteta and co. are starting to believe that this is the year they can finally lift the league title following a 19-year drought.
Arsenal's exploits have been even more impressive when you consider how young their squad is. In fact, as per PlanetFootball, they have the youngest average squad age in the English top-flight, with the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and William Saliba all starring at the age of 21.

Another Gunners youngster who has enjoyed a stellar campaign is striker Folarin Balogun, who is currently on loan at Ligue 1 outfit Reims for the season. On Sunday evening, Balogun scored an emphatic injury-time equaliser for the French side at the Parc des Princes, home of league leaders PSG, who employ the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar.
The Hale End academy graduate, who is also just 21, was played through on goal in the 96th minute before taking the ball around the onrushing Gianluigi Donnarumma and slotting it into the empty goal to secure a surprise 1-1 draw for his side. It was the 12th time that Balogun has found the back of the net across all competitions this term, with 11 of those coming in the league.
He is now just two league goals behind the aforementioned Mbappe, who currently leads the French top-flight in terms of scoring this season.
