Arsenal predicted line-up vs Wolves as Mikel Arteta makes notable change from Chelsea win

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has opted to not ring out the changes too much this season such has been the quality from his first choice eleven.

However, there could be one notable tweak for Saturday evening's trip to Wolves as the Gunners look to go into the World Cup break top of the Premier League. Oleksandr Zinchenko returned from injury to be thrust straight back into the starting line-up for last Sunday's memorable 1-0 win away at Chelsea in place of Kieran Tierney, but roles could be reversed once more at Molineux.

There will be little surprises when it comes to who lines up between the sticks as Aaron Ramsdale makes his first appearance since it was confirmed the Gunners shot-stopper would be part of Gareth Southgate's 26-man England squad for Qatar.

It is a similar story for Ben White at right-back, who will surely view his Three Lions World Cup call-up as a reward for his stellar performances in a position that is not his first-choice for Arsenal this term.

He's likely to line-up alongside Arsenal's man of the moment William Saliba, also readying himself for a hectic few weeks with the France national side. Saliba is set to be partnered by Gabriel Magalhaes, one of the few Brazilian's at the club who failed to make the cut for the Selecao.

As mentioned, Tierney could make up the rest of the back four who will be shielded by the in-form midfield duo of Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka. Both have been have putting in remarkable displays since the start of the season, with the one league defeat on record for the Gunners coming away at Manchester United - a game Partey missed through injury.

Unbeaten with the Ghanian in the team, both him and Xhaka have been the bedrock to all of Arsenal's attacking joy and will look to continue that trend against a Wolves side looking to add another blotch on the Gunners record.

On the left flank, Gabriel Martinelli will be out to silence those who questioned why he was called up by Brazil boss Tite for the upcoming trip to Qatar. The 21-year-old has five goals to his name so far and is on the hunt for more.

There's every chance of the memories of last season's trip to the Molineux are still fresh in Martinelli's mind, where he was handed two yellow cards in the same move and sent off in the process as Arsenal clung on for dear life to register a 1-0 win.

On the opposite flank Bukayo Saka will be on the prowl to cap off what has been a stellar first-half of the campaign with another impressive display before jetting off on Three Lions duty.

Between the two talented wide-man is likely to be Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard. Arteta will be hoping his captain has one more fantastic performance in him before he gets to enjoy the festive period with Norway failing to qualify for the World Cup.

Gabriel Jesus will lead the line in a clash that presents his last chance to end his lengthy goal drought before the World Cup. The former Manchester City man hasn't found the back of the net since the North London derby victory back on October 1.

Predicted Arsenal line-up vs Wolves: Ramsdale; White, Gabriel, Saliba, Tierney; Xhaka, Partey; Martinelli, Saka, Odegaard; Jesus.
