Arsenal finished their season with a resounding 5-1 win over Everton at the Emirates but it was not enough to clinch a Champions League place as Tottenham hammered Norwich.
Here’s how Mikel Arteta’s side rated at the Emirates...
Aaron Ramsdale 6
Beat away Gray strike having been a spectator until then. Would have liked a clean sheet to round off excellent first campaign but could do little about the goal.
Cedric Soares 7
An unlikely final day scorer with a wonderful strike from Saka’s corner.
Rob Holding 7
Recalled after suspension and enjoyed a decent battle with Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Enjoyed laughing at Dele Alli more.
Gabriel 7
One of the season’s most consistent performers got himself on the scoresheet.
Nuno Tavares 7
An encouraging performance more akin to the raw-but-promising ones he produced at the start of the campaign than those that followed since Christmas.
Mohamed Elneny 7
Of all the Arsenal players out of contract, looks most likely to pull on the shirt again next season. Another solid display and a useful squad player to have around.
Granit Xhaka 8
Several incisive passes opened Everton up and came off best in a couple of crowd-pleasing challenges with Dele Alli. Received standing ovation when replaced.
Martin Odegaard 8
Full of tricks and flicks in combination with Saka again, before getting in on the goalscoring act late on. A joy to watch and deserving of more credit than he’s received beyond these walls.
Gabriel Martinelli 8
Won and scored penalty, then set up Nketiah’s second with smart flick. Wearing No35 for the final time before an upgrade to No11 that symbolises his progress this season.
Bukayo Saka 8
Deserved a goal to crown a wonderful season but instead had to settle for creating two and receiving one final standing ovation.
Eddie Nketiah 7
Typical poachers effort for what could prove his final Arsenal goal. Big decisions ahead for player and club.
Substitutes
Albert Sambi Lokonga (Xhaka 63’) 6
Went close but denied by Begovic. Season rather fizzled out after bright start but very much one for the future.
Alexandre Lacazette (Nketiah 68’) 6
On for his final appearance and, true to form, missed a couple of half-decent chances for a farewell goal.
Nicolas Pepe (Saka 78’) N/A
Another who may be on his way in the summer and will hardly be missed.
