Arsenal open door for Nottingham Forest to strike double blow as Man City watch on

Nottingham Forest supporters watched on with equal doses of glee and apprehension as Arsenal fell 3-0 to Brighton on Sunday afternoon.

The slip-up looks to have handed the league title to Man City, but it cannot be declared over just yet. Forest host Arsenal at the City Ground next Saturday (May 20), and a victory for the Reds could prove monumental for multiple reasons.

Three points for Steve Cooper's men could hand Manchester City the Premier League trophy, but more importantly it could secure the Reds' Premier League status for a second season. Below is a look at what Reds supporters are saying.

@hannahforest : This Arsenal result might make Forest players feel over-confident. I hope not. They got to be wary it's still a very difficult match.

@Tnewton_1988 : Arsenal are mentally and physically shot. They know Man City have this title in the bag! Make the City Ground an inhospitable bear pit Saturday tea time and they will wilt under the atmosphere! Let’s make it loud and we can achieve PL status for next season!

@AsBo7980 : I haven’t got clue what’s going to happen at the CG on Saturday or whether Arsenal’s heads have gone. I guess we’ll find out at 7.30pm that night, sorry 730.

@nottm_forest : Cannot decide whether or not it is good for #NFFC that Arsenal and Palace don’t have anything to really play for. Will they have given up, or will it be pressure off, let’s express ourselves? Eze’s second goal yesterday suggests the latter…

@LeeENIT : The most must win game of football at The City Ground next week for both teams. That atmosphere will be more important than ever before.

@lightfoot1981 : Jesus, don’t honestly think those results could of gone any better for us. A Liverpool win tomorrow cherry on top.

@Jonathan__Hill : Taiwo Awoniyi v Ben White is something I’m looking forward to next Saturday. Arsenal look shattered.

@Craig74Nov : So, Leicester lose tomorrow, we get a draw on Saturday, Leeds lose (Sunday) Leicester lose (Monday) and we're safe. Easyyyyyyyyyy

@dj_zotov : Now if we win next week at the WFCG we stay up and officially end Arsenal's title aspirations. Come on you Reds!
