Arsenal ended their four-game winless run in some style coming out on top against Aston Villa in a six-goal thriller to restore their Premier League title advantage. One draw and two defeats, which included a loss to Manchester City, saw the Gunners head into the game low on confidence with their title ambitions dwindling, but Mikel Arteta's men prevented that from happening with two late goals at Villa Park.
In the first half, Bukayo Saka's thunderous effort had cancelled out Ollie Watkins early opener before Phillipe Coutinho swept home to put Villa back in front. Arsenal had numerous opportunities at goal in the second half and it was a surprise scorer who drew them level again with Oleksandr Zinchenko guiding an effort from the edge of the box into the back of the net.
Martin Odegaard missed a glorious chance which gave most of an Arsenal persuasion reason to believe it was not going to be their day. However, Jorginho was on hand to prove otherwise. The deadline day signing from Chelsea saw his fierce effort strike the bar but roll into the back of the net regardless off the back of Emi Martinez's head.

Second half substitute Gabriel Martinelli then put the gloss on the victory dribbling the ball into an empty net after taking advantage of Villa's last gasp attempts to secure an equaliser with Martinez up for a corner. Several teams surrounding Arsenal dropped points over the weekend and the Gunners will fancy their chances to get maximum points from their next few games.
With that in mind, football.london takes a look at the league leaders' next five fixtures compared to their main rivals this season.
Leicester City (A) - Premier League - February 25
Another challenging game away from home awaits Arsenal with Leicester buoyed by recent results which included beating the Gunners' north London rivals Tottenham 4-1 at King Power Stadium.
Mikel Arteta's men will need to produce an assured performance both offensively and defensively if they wish to get anything from the Foxes with James Maddison back from injury and new signing Tete in fine form.
Everton (H) - Premier League - March 1
Perhaps the biggest test of the coming few weeks is the return fixture against Everton. The Gunners' defeat to the Toffees in Sean Dyche's first game for the club kicked off their poor run of form and they will be hoping to get some revenge when they come to Emirates Stadium.
Despite conceding two goals against Liverpool, Everton look rejuvenated defensively and will certainly pose Arsenal another challenging test with their game plan likely very clear already
Bournemouth (H) - Premier League - March 4
Bournemouth could be considered the easiest fixture in Arsenal's next run of games but they are not to be taken for granted. The Cherries followed up their draw with Newcastle by beating Wolves at Molineux, a tough feat under Julen Lopetegui
Fulham (A) - Premier League - March 12
Arsenal were very nearly upstaged by Fulham earlier in the season but two late goals saw them come out on top. Since that game, the Cottagers have been able to maintain their impressive form and will fancy their chances when the Gunners come to town.
Showcasing their steel and grit, Fulham were penned in by Brighton in their latest Premier League game but came out on top with a late Manor Solomon goal, proving they can defend for large parts of a game and still come away with all three points.
Crystal Palace (H) - Premier League - March 19
Another reunion for Patrick Vieira at Arsenal is set for next month as he brings Crystal Palace to Emirates Stadium. The best word to describe the Eagles is probably 'inconsistent'.
In one game they can look unstoppable attacking with real vigour and defending admirably and yet in the following fixture they may look void of ideas and frail at the back. Their unpredictability should not be underestimated though by Arsenal as they have the talent to cause a major upset.
