Granit Xhaka, playing what is expected to be his last game for the club, had scored twice as the Emirates Stadium faithful made it very clear just how much things have turned for the Swiss midfielder.
He is set to join Bayer Leverkusen this summer after seven mixed years in north London but left on the sort of high that explains just why Arsenal were so glad to snap him up when they did. The impact he has had on the team this season cannot be overstated.

That was evident in the celebrations for both of his goals on Sunday. They brought about wild fanfare and mass group embraces, including the act of slapping his head multiple times in sheer jubliation.

Martinelli praises potential next Saka
Gabriel Martinelli has praised the performance of his Arsenal teammate Marquinhos, who starred for Brazil in the Under-20s World Cup on Saturday evening.
Following his performance, Marquinhos took to Instagram to celebrate the win. He captioned the picture: "Ranked! Very happy about the great team performance and helping with a goal. Let's go Brazil!
In the replies Martinelli was quick to respond to his fellow Brazilian's display, saying "Bravo brother" *red heart emoji*.

Arteta can complete two-year transfer mission
Arsenal have been handed the green light to finally sign Real Madrid star Marco Asensio this summer.
The Spanish winger was offered a new deal to stay at Los Blancos but he has rejected that proposal and if no fresh terms are offered, he will become a free agent ahead of the 2023/24 season.
When asked about Asensio, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti did not explicitly confirm his departure, but did appear to hint he will be leaving the club this summer.
