Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has issued a worrying injury update ahead of the crucial north London derby showdown against Tottenham Hotspur.
The bitter rivals face off on Thursday evening with a spot in next season's Champions League on the line as they battle it out to claim the final place in the Premier League's top four. But star Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka may not be fit enough to take part, according to Gunners boss Arteta.
It comes as Arsenal have discovered seven clubs are rivalling them for the signature of Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus this summer. The Gunners will be in the market for a new striker with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah likely to leave when their contracts expire at the end of the season and have come up with a four-man shortlist of targets.

Four-man shortlist revealed
Arsenal have four names on their shortlist of potential replacements for Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah should the duo leave the club this summer.
Both players are out of contract at the end of the season, and with the pair showing no signs of committing to the club Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu have been drawing up a list of potential replacements. The Gunners are keen on Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus, although could face competition for his signature.
And they also have Everton ’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Benfica striker Darwin Nunez in mind.
Arteta's worrying update
Arsenal may have to face bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League showdown without star winger Bukayo Saka, Mikel Arteta has revealed.
Saka went off in the 2-1 win over Leeds United on Sunday and continues to be a doubt for the game. Arteta has said Arsenal will need to "assess him and see how he is feeling" ahead of kick-off, adding that it is a similar story with centre-back Ben White.
The Gunners boss has also ruled Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney out of the vital clash, meaning Arteta is without several key players for the tie.
Gabriel Jesus transfer rivals
Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has seven clubs chasing his signature this summer including Arsenal, according to the player's agent.
The Brazilian could be on his way out of the Etihad this summer following the confirmation that City have activated Erling Haaland's £51.1million release clause having also agreed on a deal to bring in highly-rated Argentine youngster Julian Alvarez. It means Jesus may find first-team opportunities more difficult to come by in Manchester and could look to sign elsewhere.
His agent Marcelo Pettinati has now confirmed that talks with Arsenal have taken place – but six other sides are also interested in acquiring the striker's services.
