Arteta demand after Sporting draw
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has urged his side to stop giving away so many sloppy goals following Thursday's 2-2 draw against Sporting CP. The Gunners will need to win the return leg at the Emirates Stadium next Thursday to ensure they can reach the next round of the Europa League.
Edu handed £53.3m transfer chance
Barcelona have slashed their asking price for Ansu Fati down to for less than €60m (£53.5m) amid interest from Arsenal
According to Sport, club president Joan Laporta is intent on raising funds where possible and openly admitted the sale of an attacker is possible.
"We can’t rule out the sale of an attacking player in the summer. When Memphis Depay left us, we could have signed a forward, but the economic reality is very difficult and we can't rule out the sale of an attacker."
Arsenal have their own Neymar
Gabriel Martinelli has been one of Arsenal's best performers this season and his recent goal scoring purple patch has seen him become joint top scorer with Bukayo Saka.
The 21-year-old committed his long-term future to Arsenal by penning a contract extension until 2027 earlier this season, with his form this campaign making him deserving of a more lucrative contract.
Those performances have also impressed former Premier League striker Darren Bent and he has explained why he would rather have Martinelli in his team than Paris-Saint German star Neymar.
