Arsenal news: Hector Bellerin returns amid transfer claim as Henry hits out at Mohamed Salah

Here is your Arsenal morning digest for Monday, May 30.

Bellerin latest

Real Betis director Antonio Cordon has spoken about Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin's love for the La Liga outfit. “Ceballos is desperate to join Betis", Cordon said.

"But he’s a Real Madrid player, so I can’t say more. Hector Bellerin? He’s in love with Betis. He’s now back at Arsenal and we will see what happens, he knows our situation."

The Spaniard spent the 2021/22 campaign on loan at Betis, with the Gunners signing Japanese right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu to replace him.

Thierry Henry claim

Arsenal icon Thierry Henry has advised Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah to not speak so much before games after the Reds were defeated 1-0 in Saturday's UEFA Champions League final. The Egyptian international made it no secret of his desire to get 'revenge' on Los Blancos given he came off injured during the 2018 final but he was unable to take his chances as goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois enjoyed a stellar game to help his side clinch the trophy.

"We have said it so many times, it’s about putting the ball into the back of the net,” said Henry, via the Liverpool Echo. They (Madrid) have one on target and they score. Liverpool had a lot.

"But they faced Thibaut Courtois. Remember what I said in the semi-final, people don’t give him the credit he deserves. He’s one of the best keepers in the world and better than Ederson. And he’s shown it tonight.

“I always say something, don’t talk before a final. Beat Real Madrid, then talk and say, ‘it was revenge and all of that’. When you talk before a final, you have to win it."

Pickford's Ramsdale admission

Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has claimed that Arsenal shot-stopper Aaron Ramsdale has helped improve him this season. Speaking to The Daily Mail, Pickford said: "There are always people trying to chase you and get that spot off you so it's about keeping pushing boundaries.

"I think it's better for me when Rammers is pushing because that's pushing me to go even further to get even better. I feel I've been pushed all the time with Popey [Nick Pope], Deano [Dean Henderson], Rammers, Sam [Johnstone].

"I appreciate the manager's loyalty. I've known him since the Under 21s and I was there when he got the job with the seniors so yes he's stuck by me."
