Here is your morning Arsenal digest on Sunday, May 7.
Ivan Fresneda latest
According to German transfer guru Christian Falk, Borussia Dortmund will battle it out with Arsenal to sign Real Valladolid starlet Ivan Fresneda this summer.
Writing for CaughtOffside, Falk said: "Real Valladolid’s brilliant 18-year-old, Ivan Fresneda, who has a market value of €10m (£8.9 million), has become an option for Dortmund. The right-back has a contract with the Spaniards until 2025 so he would cost around €20m (£17.7 million), however, Arsenal are also pushing for his signature and could spend significantly more money.
"If Dortmund do want to bring the player to the Bundesliga, in order to have enough money for him they’ll need to sell Thomas Meunier. The 31-year-old Belgian has a contract until 2024 but is only third-choice full-back and is also very injury-prone.

"No wonder that sports director Sebastian Kehl would like to save on his annual €7m (£6.2 million) salary, whilst also commanding a small fee for his services."
Wright's Holding claim
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has treated Rob Holding unfairly, according to Ian Wright.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, the Gunners legend said: “I think [Arteta] has been a bit unfair on Rob Holding. He is somebody who hasn't had a lot of minutes. He was someone who came in to replace William Saliba – and he is fantastic.
“Yes, in certain instances, Rob has been done for pace. We have seen him isolated and it has caused a bit of a problem.
“I think it has been unfair, some of the stick he has got. But seeing [Jakub] Kiwior coming in. He has been there long enough to see what’s going on and to see what we are capable of."

Merson's prediction
Paul Merson has predicted Arsenal to draw against Newcastle United in their Premier League clash today.
Writing for Sportskeeda, he said: "This could be the game that finishes Arsenal off in the Premier League title race, as Newcastle United are in incredible form. Eddie Howe and co have been unbelievable at home this season and are well-positioned to secure a place in the UEFA Champions League next season.
"If Arsenal win this, I think the title race could be back on, as Manchester City have a bunch of interesting games coming up. Both Arsenal and Newcastle have played fantastic football this season and this will be a great contest, but unfortunately, I can't see Arsenal winning this one. The pressure will be on them and the Magpies are a tough nut to crack at St. James' Park, so I think this game will finish 1-1."
Merson's Prediction: Newcastle 1-1 Arsenal
