Here is your Arsenal morning digest on Tuesday, June 20.
Chelsea loophole
Arsenal may have the opportunity to sign Kai Havertz for cheaper than Chelsea's £70million valuation.
The Blues must sell players before June 30 to ensure they do not breach any FFP rules. Any sales concluded prior to this date will be included in their financial accounts for 2022/23.
This could work in Arsenal's favour. In hindsight, if the Gunners offered £60million for Havertz as a take it or leave it, Chelsea will be faced with a major decision to make. That amount of money could go a long way in making sure they are still within the lines of regulations but would mean they have lost £10million on Havertz.
Balogun's clear message
Flo Balogun has revealed he won't be leaving Arsenal on loan again this summer. The striker returned from loan with Reins in France with an impressive goalscoring record, scoring 21 league goals.
After opening his account for the USA, scoring the second in their 2-0 win over Canada to seal a second CONCACAF Nations League in a row, Balogun discussed his future. "What I can say is that I definitely won't go on loan again," he said firmly after helping BJ Callaghan's side to victory on Monday morning. "I'm not sure on the discussions that are going to take place, I'm not sure what's going to happen.
"But I'm just committed to now, I try to stay present. I obviously want to enjoy the moment with my team and my family."
Barnes interest
Arsenal are reportedly interested in Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes. The England international is expected to leave the Foxes this summer following their relegation from the Premier League and a host of clubs are said to be keen.
According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners have developed an interest in the forward. However, a move for Barnes is expected to take its time. The report suggests Leicester are yet to determine a price tag for their star winger.
