Here is your Arsenal morning digest on Monday, June 19.
Smith Rowe transfer message
Arsenal forward Emile Smith Rowe has claimed he won't give up on being a star for the club until Mikel Arteta gives up on him reaching that potential. It comes as the 22-year-old has been linked with a transfer exit in the summer window, having struggled for game time last season.
He told The Times: "Arsenal are my club and I’m not going to give up until [Arteta] says he doesn’t want me. But that’s not the case. He wants me as part of the team and I want to fight for my place and get back in the team. I just want to be on the pitch. This was the hardest season of my career."
Havertz agreement
Arsenal have reached an agreement with Kai Havertz on personal terms and are closing in on a deal with Chelsea for the German international this summer. The 24-year-old looks set to leave the Blues after three years in west London, having struggled to consistently perform at the top level.
Chiesa move
Arsenal and Newcastle are set to battle it out this summer as the two Premier League sides eye a move for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, per recent reports. The 25-year-old has just two years remaining on his contract with the Old Lady and given their lack of Champions League football, they could be forced to make some sales.
