Arsenal could be about to swoop for Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic after missing out on top target Dusan Vlahovic.
Fiorentina forward Vlahovic appears set to have turned down a move to Mikel Arteta's side in order to move to Juventus, with personal terms and a €75million deal – around £62.8m – believed to have been agreed.
And that could lead them to Madrid's Jovic, who is now said to be on Arsenal's radar.
It comes as Gunners boss Arteta has flown to the USA to hold a meeting with owner Stan Kroenke as he hopes to push forward the club's transfer plans.

Arteta's agenda for Kroenke talks
A number of issues will be on the agenda for Mikel Arteta when he holds important talks with Stan Kroenke in the United States this week.
The Arsenal boss has flown out for crunch talks during the Premier League's winter break with the January transfer window no-doubt top of the list of items to discuss.
Following the disappointment of missing out on Dusan Vlahovic, Arsenal will need to draw up a list of alternatives fast if they want to land a new forward before the window slams shut next Monday.
A new midfielder is also thought to be on Arteta's wishlist – while problems within his squad may also need to be talked through with the Arsenal owner.
Jovic targeted
Arsenal could now move for Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic to solve their striker problems, according to reports.
With Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah out of contract at the end of the season and the club appearing willing to move former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on elsewhere following the disciplinary breach which saw him stripped of the captaincy and ostracised from Arteta's squad, a new striker is the top priority.
And Jovic, who has struggled since joining Real in the summer of 2019 for £58million with just three goals in 32 La Liga appearances, is now thought to be on Arsenal's radar .
Vlahovic's brutal message
Dusan Vlahovic sent a brutal message to Arsenal amid interest in the Serbian forward from the Premier League club this month.
Vlahovic appears set to reject the Gunners and instead move to Italian giants Juventus – after reportedly instructing his agent not to listen to offers from Premier League clubs.
Fiorentina say they received some "important offers" for their star player this month but "never got any feedback from his agents".
It seems the striker gave Arsenal the cold shoulder as he pushed to fulfill his dream of playing for Juve.
