Arsenal will spend the World Cup five points clear at the top of the Premier League following an excellent 2-0 win away to Wolves.
The Gunners took home all three points from Molineux on Saturday night and capitalised on Manchester City 's slip-up earlier in the day. Captain Martin Odgeaard got both goals for Mikel Arteta 's side, who're setting their sights on winning the title for the first time nearly two decades come May.
But with the season at a pause, Arteta will be taking stock and analysing how Arsenal can improve ahead of the second part of the campaign, with no fixtures until Boxing Day. The January transfer window presents an opportunity to bolster the squad, and the Gunners' hierarchy are getting plenty of advice from outside voices.
Here's a round-up of the latest news from the Emirates.
Ramsdale sums up new Arsenal attitude
Arsenal's outstanding start to the season has set new standards at the Emirates and Aaron Ramsdale had to remind Oleksandr Zinchenko of them during the hard-fought victory over Wolves on Saturday. As the Gunners were protecting their lead, left-back Zinchenko was guilty of dwelling on the ball and showed signs of complacency.
The Ukrainian promptly received an earful from his teammate, who wasn't willing to surrender anything to the hosts. A clip posted on social media showed goalkeeper Ramsdale's furious reaction to unnecessarily piece of play, as he screamed: "Stop f****g taking the p***!"
Wenger's title verdict ringing true
Arsene Wenger recently tipped Arsenal as Manchester City's closest title challengers this season, and right now there's certainly no disputing that. The Gunners are now five points clear at the top of the Premier League table, backing up why legendary boss Wenger had confidence in Mikel Arteta and co last month.
"Personally I would put them just behind City," the Frenchman declared on BeIN Sports. "[Arsenal are] the second-best team to have a good chance to win the Premier League because Man City at some stage will focus highly on the Champions League."

Morgan's double demand
One of Arsenal's biggest celebrity fans, Piers Morgan, has demanded that Arsenal sign two world-class players in the January transfer window in order to boost their Premier League title charge. Revelling in the Gunners' success so far this season, TalkTV presenter Morgan took to Twitter in a bid to convince the club's owners, the Kroenke family, to invest into the squad during the upcoming transfer window.
"Top of the Premier League… 5 points clear... Arteta's process now fully trusted… players and fans united… this is our time again, Arsenal," he tweeted. "Now need the Kroenkes to get the chequebook out in January and buy big. Two more world-class players and we'll be champions again."
