Arsenal have agreed a £21million deal with Spezia for Jakub Kiwior football.london understands. The Polish defender will join an initial £17.5million transfer, with a further £3.5million in potential add-ons. His contract is set to last until 2027 with the option to extend by a further year.
Kiwior was in attendance to watch Arsenal's enthralling 3-2 victory over Manchester United on Sunday. Despite being sat alongside Edu in the executive seats at the Emirates Stadium, Mikel Arteta was still hesitant to go into any detail about the 22-year-old's arrival after the match. "We can talk about that when it’s finalised," he told football.london in his post-match press conference.
While there is still a little work to do before the deal can be confirmed it is thought that he has already passed his medical. Kiwior should join up with his teammates for training at London Colney this week and could make his debut against Manchester City in the FA Cup fourth round on Friday.

Kiwior's arrival makes him the second signing Arsenal have completed this window after the arrival of Leandro Trossard from Brighton last week. The Belgian international made his debut during Sunday's win over Manchester United to help Arsenal extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to five points.
The Gunners have also held meetings with representatives of Real Valladolid right back Ivan Fresneda over a potential arrival. Meanwhile, talks are understood to have taken place with Fulham over the possibility of sending Cedric Soares on loan to Craven Cottage for the remainder of the season.
