Arsenal have agreed a £21million deal with Spezia for Jakub Kiwior football.london understands. The Polish defender will join an initial £17.5million transfer, with a further £3.5million in potential add-ons. His contract is set to last until 2027 with the option to extend by a further year.
Kiwior was in attendance to watch Arsenal's enthralling 3-2 victory over Manchester United on Sunday. Despite being sat alongside Edu in the executive seats at the Emirates Stadium, Mikel Arteta was still hesitant to go into any detail about the 22-year-old's arrival after the match. While there is still a little work to do before the deal can be confirmed it is thought that he has already passed his medical. Kiwior should join up with his teammates for training at London Colney this week and could make his debut against Manchester City in the FA Cup fourth round on Friday.
