Edu's triple Arsenal contract plan seems to be nearing the completion of part one with Gabriel Martinelli edging closer to signing a new Gunners contract. Bukayo Saka and William Saliba are also in talks over a new deal but Martinelli appears the closest to agreeing terms for an extension.
Saliba, Saka and Martinelli have all been instrumental for Arsenal this season as they sit five points clear at the top of the Premier League with Edu set to open talks with all three over new contracts, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Given Arsenal's position in the league table, the trio likely will agree to new deals but if talks were to begin stalling, it would not be detrimental to Arsenal, as football.london understands there is an option to extend Saliba and Saka's respective deals by at least another year, as well as Martinelli's by a further two.
