Arsenal must increase the intensity of their pursuit for Oleksandr Zinchenko. This is as a result of reports that Newcastle are also interested in securing the Ukrainian’s services.
The Manchester Evening News have reported that Manchester City will have to convince Zinchenko he will play more regularly next season if they are to fend off interest from Arsenal. The 25-year-old played just 1047 minutes in the Premier League last term, with Portuguese international Joao Cancelo preferred at left-back.
Despite Arsenal’s reported interest, The Athletic have claimed that Newcastle are also chasing the Manchester City player. Newcastle have stolen Arsenal’s targets in the past - see Bruno Guimaraes for example - and Edu must ensure this is not the case with Zinchenko.
