Arsenal's search for a new winger may take another turn in the coming days, with reports that Shakhtar have rejected their latest bid for Mykhaylo Mudryk.
This comes after Chelsea joined the race to sign the exciting Ukrainian winger, with the spending power of the Blues potentially leading Shakhtar to stall negotiations with Arsenal. The 19-year-old is still believed to favour a move to Arsenal, but the stalling of talks will understandably lead Arsenal to consider other options.
There are a number of alternatives, with Wilfried Zaha also an option as his contract expires in the summer. However, Hirving Lozano has entered the conversation due to his lack consistent playing time at Napoli this season following the emergence of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for the Serie A leaders.

His availability could lead Arsenal to pursue a cut price bid for a player who has been on the Gunners' radar for a number of years. The 27-year-old has been on the radar for Premier League clubs since his emergence at the 2018 World Cup while playing for Mexico as they reached the knockout stages.
According to La Repubblica, Lozano has caught the attention of Arsenal with his current situation in Italy indicating a possible departure could be on the horizon. The current Serie A league leaders have begun talks over an extension to Lozano's contract which expires in 2024, but they are not going well.
In the summer it was reported by arenanapoli.it that Napoli had given the winger, who can operate on either flank, a €30 million (£26.6 million) price tag. This is half the price of the £60 million bid which Arsenal are said to have bid for Mudryk and could represent smart business for a player whose contract expires in June 2024.
