Welcome to our football.london The Arsenal Way daily news round-up. Maybe not the first, we've definitely done transfer round-ups before, and European round-ups, so I guess in some ways it's not that new at all.
Anyway, we thought we would enter the world of football in a broad and roundabout manner for you and have some fun with some of the stories and captions doing the daily rounds.
Arsenal make Vlahovic offer
According to Corriere Della Sera Arsenal have made a £50m offer for Dusan Vlahovic plus Lucas Torreira.
The report states that it will be a ‘particularly attractive’ offer as Fiorentina are said to want most of the money for his transfer paid upfront.
The Gunners have been linked with the 21-year-old striker for some time now. But the Serbian international is keeping his options open with a number of clubs linked with him.
Our take: Could this be a move that pushes Arsenal ahead of the line in a bid to sign Vlahovic?
Championship right-back targeted
Mikel Arteta is on the hunt for a right-back and the club are said to be eyeing a potential move for Middlesborough’s Djed Spence.
But, the 21-year-old who is on loan to Nottingham Forest also has interest from Italian giants Roma and Inter Milan.
Our take: With Hector Bellerin on loan at Real Betis and likely to leave the Emirates in the summer it’s a good idea that Arsenal are looking to strengthen that right-back position. A young prospect in Spence certainly fits the rebuilding profile Arsenal are going for right now.
Juventus want Partey
Sky Sports Italia have reported that Juventus want to buy Thomas Partey if Arsenal buy Arthur Melo in the January transfer window.
Arsenal have been lacking midfield options and were linked with Melo but Juventus were reluctant to let the player leave before they themselves found a replacement.
But, now there could be a resolution to it all as the Turnin club want Thomas Partey and if the Gunners are willing to do some sort of a swap deal they may just be able to buy Melo.
