Arsenal: Jurrien Timber spotted without crutches for first time in injury boost

Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber has been spotted without crutches for the first time since his serious knee injury.

In a boost to the Gunners, and a very welcome sight for fans, Timber was able to attend the club's traditional squad photocall unaided.

Arsenal presented their full Premier League squad for the season, along with the Community Shield and dog 'Win', now that the transfer window has closed, and summer signing Timber was on show.

Less than three weeks ago Timber still required crutches after suffering a likely season-ending ACL injury on his debut against Nottingham Forest in the the first game of the season.

The £34million summer signing quickly underwent surgery and is now on a long road to recovery.

Posting on Instagram at the time, Timber wrote: "Gutted to share my injury is more serious than expected, especially after the warm welcome I’ve received.

"I wanted to repay you on the pitch, which will not be possible for the forthcoming period. I’m blessed with a lot of great people around me, together we will do anything to get back as soon and strong as possible.

"For now I’ll be supporting our team from the stands of course. Thanks for making me feel at home in such a short period of time, see you at The Carpet."
