Here is your Arsenal transfer round-up on Monday, December 5.
Tielemans twist
There appears to be another twist in the transfer saga over Leicester City star Youri Tielemans as reports claim that Barcelona are out of the race for his signature due to an apparent "agreement" over his next club.
The midfield remains an area in which the Gunners need to strengthen should they face an injury crisis there, as seen when they made a deadline day move for Aston Villa's Douglas Luiz in the summer to solve that issue. It didn't work out and since the Brazilian signed a new deal with the Midlands club, attention could turn back to Tielemans.
It remains to be seen if they are still favourites to sign him, but Marca reports that Spanish giants Barcelona have pulled out of the race for his signature. While that could be a boost for the Gunners, the report also adds that the reason the Blaugrana have pulled out is because they suspect there is an "agreement" with another club.

Turner urged to leave Arsenal
Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner used the 2022 Qatar World Cup in the best possible way to showcase his quality in between the sticks. The USA shot-stopper featured in all four of his nation's World Cup fixtures, keeping two clean sheets.
Unfortunately for Turner, his tournament journey came to an end yesterday afternoon when Cody Gakpo and the Netherlands secured their quarter-final place with a 3-1 win. Despite the loss, Turner has reaped plenty of praise in his home land and has been encouraged to push for a move away from the Emirates Stadium.
Turner faces tough competition to rise in Mikel Arteta's pecking order in north London with Aaron Ramsdale nailed on to continue in goal and former USMNT coach Bruce Arena has urged Turner to leave the Gunners to ensure he doesn't lose his place for his country.
“Matt can’t be at fault for the three goals against and made several great saves in the second half to keep the US alive in the game. Like the team, this was the first time he was truly tested at the World Cup,” he told MLS Soccer .
“Now, Matt’s going to fall in line with the likes of Brad Friedel and Kasey Keller one day. He has to move out of Arsenal to start playing on a regular basis, but he’s proven himself to be a very good goalkeeper for the US.”
Gunners join race for Bundesliga midfielder
Arsenal have reportedly joined the transfer race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Djibril Sow, according to Sport BILD. The Swiss midfielder was linked with a move to Nottingham Forest in the summer but the newly-promoted side failed to construct an official bid.
The 25-year-old enters the final 18 months of his contract at Deutsche Bank Park after joining them in 2019 from Young Boys. He has made over 135 appearances in the Bundesliga and has often been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent years.
While Palmeiras' Danilo continues to be linked ahead of the January transfer window, Sow has been named a potential alternative from reports in Germany. However, BILD have reported that it would take a 'lucrative' offer to convince Frankfurt to sell their midfielder maestro, with reporter Andreas Boni claiming Forest have offered a €50million package, with €20million up front and a further €5million in add-ons.
