Arsenal could be set to join London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham in the race to sign RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol this summer, according to reports. The Croatia international has been tipped for big things, with plenty of sides following a potential move.
It could be yet another big-money move for the Gunners in an already busy summer transfer window. Mikel Arteta has already added four signings to his squad, with plenty more time left in the window.
football.london understands a defender and midfielder addition are still desired if squad players move on. However, they could have a player who plays both positions as Arsenal appear to have reached a £30million agreement for Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko.

While talks continue to get that deal over the line, the Gunners could have a battle in keeping a player of their own. Recent reports have suggested that William Saliba will push for an exit if he isn’t guaranteed a first-team place next season.
The Frenchman has plenty of promise and impressed in his loan spell at Marseille last campaign. His place is uncertain in the team and if he does leave, there is a plan for another option.
According to mediafoot, RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol is a target if Saliba leaves. The 20-year-old has impressed in the past year and is a rare option as a left-footed centre-back.
The Gunners wouldn’t be alone in their interest though, as Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City have all been linked. It remains to be seen whether that interest would be made concrete for Arteta in the coming weeks.
