A Galway pub has been starstruck after a visit from a Premier League footballer over the weekend.
Ex-Arsenal defender Martin Keown was in the city on Sunday night and while he was there he ducked his head into a popular Galway pub where the craic was mighty, reports GalwayBeo.ie.
Stepping into O'Connor's Famous Pub in Salthill, the ex-England footballer and three-time Premier League and FA cup winner made an impression with the staff and even posed for a picture with the landlord's two sons.

The pub, located in Salthill, is highly popular for visitors but it was clear they didn't expect the sports star to be ordering a round at the bar that night.
Owner Frank O'Connor was delighted to have the legend pose alongside his sons Frank and Brian as he shared a picture of the moment on social media.
In a tweet, he captioned the picture with: "What a pleasure to have @martinkeown5 in O’Connor’s, thanks for the photo with my 2 son’s Frank & Brian."
The 56-year-old has since hung up his boots after his glory days in the 1990s and 2000s with a career change as a pundit for BBC Sport and BT Sport.
