Arsenal have been handed a significant transfer blow in their pursuit of Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
Phillips has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates this summer but the Gunners look set to miss out on the England international with Manchester United working on a deal to secure his signature, according to reports. The Gunners have a busy summer transfer window ahead of them with a number of players out of contract and set to leave the club at the end of the season.
The 26-year-old has been absent for a large period of the season after suffering a hamstring injury in December as Leeds continue to fight against relegation. Phillips, who is valued at £45million by Transfermarkt, has been a key figure for the Yorkshire outfit since breaking through the academy but could be set to leave the club this summer.
