Arsenal have been handed a huge transfer boost in their pursuit of long-term target Pedro Neto, with Wolves close to signing Valencia winger Goncalo Guedes.
Mikel Arteta has publicly stated that he wants to add more signings to his squad before the transfer window closes. Technical director Edu has already secured deals for Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos this summer.
The latter has already impressed Arsenal fans following an impressive performance in Arsenal under-21s 3-1 win over Manchester United. The Gunners are thought to be looking to sign a winger and central midfielder, and could now take advantage of Wolves' move for Guedes by lining up a move for Neto.

Wolves are understood to have tabled an offer in excess of £27million for the Valencia winger, whose impending move to Molineux could clear the path for Neto to head to the Emirates Stadium, according to the Express. Valencia boss Genaro Gattuso revealed that the La Liga outfit had received a 'huge proposal' from a Premier League club for Guedes, with the team in question thought to be Wolves, according to Tribuna Deportivo.
Guedes was omitted from Gattuso's squad for Valencia's 2-1 friendly win over Italian outfit Atalanta on Saturday as he edges closer to a move to Molineux. Should Guedes seal a move and join Bruno Lage's side, it could open up a clear path for the Gunners to sign Neto from their Premier League rivals.
Arsenal have had an ongoing rivalry with Wolves for months after Ruben Neves said the north London side celebrated their 1-0 win over the Midlands club 'like they had won the Premier League'. The Gunners could have the last laugh and poach one of their best players in Neto as Arteta looks to add more quality to his attack after being snubbed by Raphinha earlier in the transfer window.
