Arsenal half-time ratings vs Nurnberg as Turner has mixed debut and Mari struggles

Matt Turner: Could perhaps have done better to keep out Geis' long range strike, but made some decent other saves and looked good with his feet. 5.

Hector Bellerin: A few loose touches, from the man who wore the captain's armband. Playing himself back in to fitness ahead of what he'll be hoping is a summer move. 5.

Reuell Walters: Positionally a bit off at times, but that's to be expected from a right back playing centre back. Made up for it with his pace and power which is so impressive for one so young. 6.

Pablo Mari: Looked pretty shaky particularly when dealing with the long balls up to Daferner. A few decent moments on the ball and yet again a good leader. 4.

Kieran Tierney: Slightly worrying that he was withdrawn after just half an hour. Looked a little rusty in possession, but some times where his crossing ability looked strong. 5.

Albert Sambi Lokonga: A poor touch in the build up to the goal that led to Nuremberg's second from Duah. Looked OK and positive in possession aside from that. 5.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles: Some nice moments where he drove forward and reminded us of the characteristics he can bring to midfield. These weren't quite as often as he would have hoped though. 6.

Emile Smith Rowe: One nice effort from distance, but a few moments where he was loose in possession in his own half which allowed Nuremberg good attacking chances including Geis' goal. 5.

Nicolas Pepe: One moment of poor concentration when he gave the ball away in a rare attacking moment in the opposition half. Some nice attacking pressing but couldn't really influence the game. 6.

Eddie Nketiah: Not really seen that often in a half where Arsenal struggled to get much possession. Barely had a chance so hard to judge too harshly. 5

Reiss Nelson: Barely seen on his return to the Arsenal side. A little too predictable when cutting inside rather than going down the left on occasion. 5.

Substitutes -

Cedric: Showed again that he is a decent option at left back in his limited cameo. 6.
