Arsenal given surprise boost ahead of Europa League clash amid shock FK Bodo/Glimt disruption

The Gunners are set to host their first Europa League tie of the season when they welcome Norwegian side FK Bodo/Glimt to the Emirates Stadium. Arteta will be hoping for better fortunes than the last European game Arsenal played at the Emirates Stadium, as the north Londoners were knocked out by Villareal in the Europa League semi-final during the 2020/2021 season.

It seems fortunes are already on Arsenal’s side as FK Bodo/Glimt’s team bus got stuck in narrow roads in London while trying to arrive at the north London ground. This forced the team to walk the rest of the journey, the official Bodo/Glimt’s Twitter account confirmed.

Not the greatest of preparations for the visiting Norwegian side, as they play against an Arsenal team who are yet to lose a game at home this season.

FK Bodo/Glimt players were recorded walking towards the stadium after their coach seemed trapped around a narrow bend in north London. The club’s official Twitter account then posted a follow-up video of the players having to walk past Arsenal fans to get to the stadium.

This development was released shortly before football.london released the Gunners’ official team news for the Europa League tie. Gabriel Magalhaes, Granit Xhaka and Gabriel Martinelli all keep their place in the team after starting in the North London Derby on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s side will be hoping for a repeat result from the Premier League fixture against Tottenham. The disrupted preparations for Bodo/Glimt could have given the Gunners an extra advantage.
