Arsenal fans spot what Alexandre Lacazette did during Premier League win against Watford

Arsenal are in excellent form as they continue their quest to end their five-year UEFA Champions League hiatus.

The north London outfit have won eight of their last ten Premier League fixtures and they now sit fourth in the table, one point clear of Manchester United, who have played three more league matches this season.

Mikel Arteta 's men played out a thrilling game against Watford on Sunday, securing a 3-2 win thanks to goals from young trio Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

French centre-forward Alexandre Lacazette provided two assists at Vicarage Road, setting up Saka and Martinelli for their goals and the 30-year-old was also seen showing his appreciation to the Gunners faithful at one point.

A video of supporters singing Lacazette's chant during an Arsenal corner surfaced on Twitter, with the former Lyon frontman clearly seen holding his hand up in appreciation to the song.

The veteran striker shares a close relationship with the fans, often urging them on at the Emirates Stadium when Mikel Arteta's side are in need of a goal, whilst also passionately celebrating when his teammates find the back of the net.

His two assists against the Hornets were his seventh and eighth across all competitions this season and his all-around game is something that has impressed former Arsenal star Kevin Campbell.

Speaking to Football Insider, Campbell said: “Lacazette is an experienced player.

“He makes the players around him better and we saw that on Sunday.

“The assist for Saka’s goal, I mean come on. The touch away from the defender and then the little roll back. Saka could just come onto it and dispatch it. It was similar for the set for Martinelli, he didn’t have to change his stride. It was perfect from Lacazette.

“His all-round game is so important to Arsenal. I think he’s been great. He is making the team better.

“Yes, he doesn’t score enough but to get seven assists in nine games is definitely contributing.”
