Kai Havertz is gaining more fans every game as his fine form for Arsenal continued on Saturday night against Brighton, possibly including a member of the Seagulls coaching staff.
The forward scored one and assisted another as the Gunners beat Brighton in their own backyard, condemning the south coast club to their first home league defeat since September.
It was one of Havertz's best performances in an Arsenal shirt, and one onlooker was so impressed he appeared to ask for a souvenir as the forward walked off the pitch. Unfortunately, it was a Brighton coach who had just seen his side roundly beaten.
Speaking on HUB Premier 1’s TV coverage of the game when the incident happened, Tim Sherwood said: “You can’t have that ... what is he thinking?”
The moment went down as expected on X. One user wrote: "One of the Brighton coaches begging for Havertz’s shirt, a true student of the game."
An Arsenal fan added: "Arsenal is such a big team that a Brighton coaching staff requested Havertz shirt big ups lads."
Another X user was less impressed, posting to Brighton's official account: "What an embarrassment one of Brightons coaching staff asking Havertz for his shirt. Loyalty to paying fans."
