Arsenal fans are raging on social media at the final player ratings on FIFA 23... as well as the players' faces and Mikel Arteta's unrecognisable appearance.
Players who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23 or are members of EA Play can now access the full game on their consoles or PC, ahead of the official UK and worldwide release on Friday, September 30. With players now able to get full access to the game, some have taken to social media to vent their frustration already, notably Arsenal fans.
There was already backlash from the Gunners fanbase when EA revealed the official Arsenal player ratings earlier this month, with the highest-rated player in the squad just 84 overall. But, with the full game now available, fans are questioning the appearance of their players and manager in-game as well.
In August this year, Arsenal announced they had extended their partnership with Konami Digital Entertainment in a "long-term partnership". Konami is one of EA's biggest competitors, and it may explain why the entire Arsenal squad hasn't received face scans for FIFA 23.
The likes of Emile Smith Rowe, William Saliba, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel, Fabio Vieira and Martin Odegaard have all been questioned, whilst Mikel Arteta arguably looks the worst. Here are a few of the Arsenal faces in FIFA 23.
Smith Rowe (top left), Vieira (top middle), Albert Sambi Lokonga (top right), Tomiyasu (middle left), Arteta (centre), White (middle right), Gabriel (bottom left), Odegaard, bottom middle) and Saliba (bottom right) are all not exactly realistic.
Here's what some Arsenal fans had to say about the player's faces and ratings on social media.
