Tottenham have 'accelerated' their interest in long-term Arsenal target and Brighton winger, Leandro Trossard, as Antonio Conte searches for reinforcements this month.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who add that a deal is not imminent and any move will most likely take place later on in the window, if at all.
Trossard is out of contract at the end of the season, making him a cheap and accessible option for clubs looking to strengthen in the coming weeks. The Belgian international enjoyed an impressive start to the season having scored seven goals and provided three assists across 17 Premier League appearances, but now risks being left out in the cold.

The forward was omitted from Roberto De Zerbi’s squad for the FA Cup clash against Middlesbrough on Saturday after the Italian coach suggested he was not giving 100% in both training and in matches.
Various reports linked Trossard with a move to Arsenal prior to his Brighton switch in 2019, and his name has also re-emerged as a potential target for Mikel Arteta since. It’s not known if the 28-year-old is still on the Gunners' radar, but the interest being shown by Spurs will no doubt increase the pressure on sporting director Edu as he looks to strike an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk for Mykhaylo Mudryk.
football.london understands two bids have been made for the Ukrainian, though Shakhtar remain reluctant to soften their stance as they hold out for a fee closer to their £85million valuation.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix appears to be closing in on a move to another one of Arsenal’s rivals in the form of Chelsea. It had been claimed that the Emirates Stadium was a real possibility to become Felix’s next destination. However, football.london understands the Blues are now closing in on a deal after intensifying talks.
With not one but two of Arsenal’s London and league rivals now looking to add attacking quality to their team, Arteta and Edu will be keen to ensure they are not left empty-handed in what will be a pivotal window for the club's season.
