Arsenal will reportedly face competition for Gianluca Scamacca this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly holding talks with Sassuolo over the striker.
According to Sky Sports Italia, as cited by the Express, PSG have also been in contact with the Serie A side to register their interest in a summer transfer, while Arsenal, Inter Milan, Newcastle, Marseille and Rennes have previously been linked with the young forward.
The Gunners are keen to bring in at least one centre-forward this summer after allowing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to join Barcelona back in January, whilst Alexandre Lacazette is also departing at the end of the month. football.london understands that Gabriel Jesus is one name on the club's shortlist, and technical director Edu has held talks with the player's representatives in recent months.

As seen on Reddit, Italian super agent Roberto De Fanti believes he could cost the Gunners up to £50million: “Sassuolo has rejected Arsenal’s opening offer though," he said. The fee needed, I believe, will be about £50m. Sassuolo has already pushed back offers from clubs in the Premier League – Arsenal, of course, and Newcastle United.”
Scamacca has also already spoken about the speculation surrounding his future. Speaking to Rai Sport, via Italy24, he said: "For those who know me, I am a very simple boy who is living a dream and will do everything to get as far as possible."
When specifically asked about his future, he added: "I don't read these things. Only the pitch counts. The numbers are made up by the clubs. For me, the pitch and have fun counts."
Whether the Gunners can get a deal over the line remains to be seen but Arsenal fans will be hoping that they sign a striker sooner rather than later during the summer transfer window.
