Arsenal will play Sporting CP in the last-16 of the Europa League. The Gunners progressed through the first stage as group winners meaning they avoided the dreaded last-32 play-off rounds that cost Barcelona a place in the last-16.
Arsenal will travel to Portugal to play Sporting CP in March. The ties are due to be played on Thursday, March 9 and Thursday, March 16.
The Gunners, having won their group, will have the perceived advantage of playing the second of the two games at home. The Europa League matches complete a seven-game run that will take place across just 23 days.
