Arsenal are likely still weighing up all of their options following the knee injury suffered by Gabriel Jesus that required surgery. A straight swap for Eddie Nketiah seems to be the best option for Arsenal but there are certainly other alternatives, especially with the January transfer window on the horizon.
Prior to the injury suffered by Jesus while at the World Cup with Brazil, football.london understood that a wide player and central midfielder were the priority areas the club were exploring. While that seems to remain, Mikel Arteta and Edu may change their approach slightly to a versatile player that can play both out wide and up front.
A number of players linked with Arsenal fit into that category, perhaps none more so than Marcus Thuram and Cody Gakpo who could be perfect Jesus alternatives.
