Arsenal confirmed team news vs Liverpool as Tomiyasu starts but Zinchenko and Tierney miss out

Takehiro Tomiyasu comes into the Arsenal starting XI for their Premier League clash against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium. There was a hint that the Japan international could be involved in the position after he was switched there during the closing stages of Thursday night's win over Bodo/Glimt.

Oleksandr Zinchenko was absent for that match and misses out again as he continues to struggle with injuries during the early part of his Arsenal career.

Aaron Ramsdale is in for Matt Turner while the rest of the back four is changed with Ben White, Gabriel and the much talked about William Saliba all starting.

Thomas Partey is fit to play at the base of the Arsenal midfield and could be very important in combatting Liverpool's high press alongside Granit Xhaka and captain Martin Odegaard.

Up top Gabriel Jesus is looking to continue his impressive record against Liverpool, while Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli will hope to live up to the pre-match billing provided to them by Jurgen Klopp.
