Arsenal have provided an update on when the much-anticipated makeover of the Emirates Stadium will be completed.
The club confirmed that it was very close to finalising eight pieces of exterior art back in November after the original designs were removed, leaving the stadium bare for several weeks.
Staff initially claimed that the revamp would take place during the World Cup, however, the new cores are now expected to be completed in January following a lengthy process. football.london understands illustrations of supporter group logos and nominated fans will feature on the new design, which recognises some of the club’s most historic moments and players.

The previous artwork surrounding the stadium was mainly player orientated, but the club hopes that the additional fan representation will provide more of an Arsenal family feel to the ground.
New Arsenal and Emirates crests have already replaced the old ones which were discoloured due to their age, while several other upgrades have been and continue to be installed within the stadium. New screens were put up during the summer and work continues on the roof after leaks were reported in certain areas.
Unfortunately, those expecting to see the new-look Emirates Stadium in all its glory when Arsenal take on West Ham on Boxing Day will have to wait a little longer, although the club hopes that fans will agree it was worth the wait upon its reveal.
